Strange Cargo

172 Beale Street

Home of official Beale Street and Memphis memorabilia, unique gift items and zany all occasion cards. Kinda reminds us of Spencer gifts.

Memphis Music

149 Beale Street

Memphis music has “Blues you can Use”. The largest Blues specialty store in the world. Shop here for your Blues, Gospel, Rock N’ Roll and jazz CD’s, cassettes and videos. Music gift items and music theme t-shirts can also be found here or on their website.

A. Schwab's

163 Beale Street

A Schwab's Dry Goods Store, at no. 163,  We emphasize the words "dry goods" because this is where you'll get an umbrella, hat or raincoat to keep you dry if it starts to rain. Looks much as it must have when it opened in 1876, with an incredible array of such voodoo paraphernalia, familiar from the blues, as Mojo Hands and High John the Conqueror lucky roots in fragrant oil, as well as 99¢ neckties and Sunday School badges. They also have thousands of other unique and interesting items to just marvel at, or actually purchase. The bad news is they're not open at night so maybe you better get an umbrella here in the daytime!  (closed Sun)

Tater Red's

153 Beale Street

One of the cooler shops on Beale Street. Serving up all your voodoo needs. They also sell Mardi Gras beads and feature a fairly extensive music memorabilia collection that's worth the trip alone. If you check out one shop on Beale make it A Schwab's, but if you check out two, be sure to hit this one!

Psychics of Beale Street

154 Beale Street

Open Tuesday through Saturday from noon until midnight. Are they really psychic? How should I know. I'm not.

Y-Not

156 Beale Street

T-shirts and all sorts of Memphis souvenirs. Y-not check 'em out?

Eel etc. Fashions

333 Beale Street

Leather and EEL skin goods, along with African items, T-shirts and other Beale Street souvenirs.

Beale Street Tattoo

333 Beale Street

The Tattoo artists here are first rate. While I have never recieved a tattoo here, I've seen their work on others and it's good stuff! Go to Wet Willies and drink a "Call a cab" then come here and get your first tattoo.
