Wonderful
Homemade Hot Tamales
One of the best meals
on Beale! Award-winning Chef Bonnie Mack serves up Awesome BBQ Ribs,
wonderful Homemade Hot Tamales, Southern Fried Catfish, Oven-Broiled
Steaks by the pound and more! Live entertainment nightly in the Band
Box. Kitchen open late. Yes this is the restaurant Tom Cruise met
with the FBI in the movie The Firm!
Beale
Street Online recommends: Hot Tamales, Ribs, Steaks.
Dyer's
Their chili cheese fries
KICK ASS!
Established in 1912, they’ve
been "Deep Frying" their burgers in a in an old fashioned,
cast iron skillet in a unique way ever since, and they 're rumored to
still be using some of the original 1912 fat in those deep fryers. They
also serve the best milkshake and homemade French fries on Beale! .
For more than eighty years Dyer’s has provided Beale street-ers with
great food. My favorite is their chili cheese fries, KICK ASS!
Beale
Street Online recommends: Chili cheese fries.
Hard

Beale Street
More than likely you've
been to one of these places already, if you haven't go ahead and check
this one out. It's as good as any. Tennessee truck stop diner atmosphere
with live entertainment on a regular basis. Memphis’s largest collection
of music memorabilia. A Hard Rock Cafe merchandise Store located inside.
Menu specialties include half pound Cheeseburger, Pig Sandwich, Grilled
Fajitas, Tupelo Chicken and Decadent Brownies.
Beale Street Online recommends: Checking out one
of the other restaurants on Beale.
Kings
Palace Cafe
162 Beale Street
In the past this has
been one of our favorite restaurants. The last time we visited did
not seem to be a good day for them. Our Shrimp Velvet pasta was VERY
overcooked and only featured THREE Shrimp. The service wasn't even
as good as that at the Kiosks in Tom Lee Park! However the Manager
did make a good effort to rectify the situation and due to their past
track record we will give them another try as should you. The Crab
cakes are our favorite and they serve great gumbo too. Mrs. Zeno and
the White guy were outstanding as always! Large dining room
compliments the Jazz Room for live Jazz and Blues with Charlie Wood
Trio (not my personal favorite) entertaining nightly. Open for lunch
and dinner.
Beale
Street Online recommends: Gumbo, Crab cakes, Shrimp Velvet.
Silky
O'sullivan's
Have
a diver! Hell have two!
When your finished, Buy the goats one too!
Silky's
is Beale Street Online's favorite Memphis club. As a restaurant though,
it's only OK.
Beale

Alfred's

Beale Street
Live entertainment nightly.
Open 11 a.m. - 2 a.m. Serving the hottest wings on Beale. For those
that need one, they also serve a great Strawberry daiquiri and they're
usually one of the first clubs to get their frozen machine going for
the day. Their elevated outdoor patio is huge and can be very tempting
to the bead thrower and boob shower alike!
Beale
Street Online recommends: Hanging out upstairs on their outdoor
patio.
B.B.
KING'S
143
Beale Street
World
famous B. B. King’s Blues Club featuring the best in local and international
entertainment. Live music nightly. Restaurant serving lunch and dinner.
A very classy club. Probably Beale's classiest. First rate entertainment!
Once I saw Kenny Wayne Shepard get up out of the audience and join
the band on stage! Contrary to some stories I have personally met
BB King in here! The only drawback to this place is it's relatively
small and fills up quickly, so get here early if you want to sit.
Beale
Street Online
recommends: Arriving
early.
Rum
Boogie Cafe
182
Beale Street
Including
some of Memphis’ most prized music memorabilia and music by the Boogie
Blues Band featuring James Govan on a regular basis. Blue plate lunch
specials are featured daily and at night Finger food is the rule here.
“Hickory Smoked” BBQ pork and ribs are served up with Championship Gator
Gumbo (We feel it's the best in Memphis) but the main attraction here
is the music! After the march to revitalization, but before the big-name
clubs landed on Beale Street, there was the Rum Boogie -- pulling in
crowds and making the city and tourists alike believe that Beale could
survive. The club in a brick building on the corner of Beale and Third
has been the heart and the anchor of the entertainment district. Rum
Boogie was there when it was the only place to go at night. It was spilling
crowds and music onto the street when few other establishments were
open or barely dreamed of. The place has packed them in for lunch and
seen wall-to-wall music lovers at midnight. Beale Street Online HIGHLY
recommends this place!
Beale
Street Online recommends: Gator
Gumbo, Hot wings.
